This tutorial was created entirely by me. Any similarity is purely coincidental.

For this tut you will need the following supplies:

PSP 7 (but probably can be made in PSP 8)

Dragonfly's Sinedots II

cat_eye_1 preset (for Sinedots ll)

Get it here!

Unzip the file and put the cat_eye_1.cfg file in your Sinedots folder. Usually under the plugins folder.

cat tube (or any tube you would like)

OK lets get started!

Open an image 400 X 400 transparent background

Name this Layer: Background

Flood File Layer 1 with black (or any dark color other than light blue)

Add another layer. Rename this layer: sinedot eye

Go to Effects-plugins-Dragonfly-Sinedots II
Open sinedots
Open the preset: cat_eye_1

Select OK

Go to Effects-Sharpen-Sharpen more
Make sure your in the sinedot eye layer.
Select the eraser tool

Set the eraser tool to:

Either use the + key on the number pad or zoom in on the eye
about 3-1. Hold down the left mouse button and start erasing the center of the eye.

After you have erased most of the center you will need to change the size of the eraser down to 2 or 3 to get all of the edges of the center of the eye erased so that it looks like this:

If you find this is too difficult for you to do you may use the sinedot eye.psp supplied in the zip file with the sinedot preset.
To use this open it in PSP Go to Edit/copy and close it. Click on your backgound layer and go to Edit/Paste/As a new layer.

Open your cat tube in PSP. Go to Edit/copy and close it. Click on the image your working on and go to Edit/Paste/As a new layer. Rename this layer Tube. Open your layer palette and move this layer under the sinedot eye layer.

Use the mover tool to center your tube in the middle of the eye.

Go back and use your eraser tool on your tube to erase the edges so it will fit within the eye.

Use the smudge brush

with these settings:

Smudge the tube a little to blend it into the background.

Add another layer and name this one Text

Use the text tool and create your text with the following settings:

Font: of your choice

Size: Fit to image

Floating and Antialias checked.

Use your mover tool to position the text in the image.

Go to Selections and Select none

Go to your layer palette and merge all and save it out as a .jpg and your done!

If you had problems with this tut I would like some feedback on how I might make it simpler.
